The Community Urgent Eye Care Service (CUES) is a free NHS service that provides urgent assessment and treatment for eye problems:
Sudden onset symptoms, such as flashes, floaters, vision loss, or minor eye injuries, red, sore, or itchy eyes.
CUES is available throughout the week, and sometimes on weekends.
You should always call first, as CUES is not a walk-in service. When you call, you’ll be asked questions about your eye problem and general wellbeing.
